SUPPORTING THE FUTURE

How We Help

The Coldwell Community Foundation attracts, receives, and accumulates charitable gifts in a permanent capital fund, and on an annual basis distributes income from those funds to charitable community groups for projects designed with the purpose of strengthening and improving the quality of life in the Rural Municipality of Coldwell.

Our Mission

To serve the residents of the Rural Municipality of Coldwell by maintaining a permanent endowment fund aimed at strengthening and improving the quality of life for today and into the future.

Community Foundations of Canada

The Coldwell Lundar Community Foundation Inc. was incorporated in 2004 as a non-profit charitable organization.

The Foundation is managed by a Board of Directors who serve voluntarily without remuneration.

Charitable donations received become a gift that is never used up. They grow and continue giving to your community beyond your lifetime. They make an impact on your community every year.

They meet a broad range of needs.

Coldwell Community Foundation is a member of Community Foundations of Canada, the national leadership organization for Canada’s over 200 local community foundations.

The ENDOW MANITOBA

Giving Challenge

Endow Manitoba is an initiative of The Winnipeg Foundation and is a great support to all of Manitoba’s 56 (as at 2023) community foundations.

Coldwell Lundar Community Foundation (CLCF) takes part in the annual week long Giving Challenge. It is a time of the year when your community foundation has an opportunity to build its unrestricted endowed funds that support local granting.

National Philanthropy Day is November 15 and each year the Challenge takes place for the week that encompasses this day.

During this time only, each $5 gift you make becomes $7. Presently, The Winnipeg Foundation and the Province each stretch every $5 gift made by $1 until $10,000 is raised (max. stretch is $4,000).

Your gift will support many worthwhile projects in your community forever because, as with all donations to the foundation, the gift never gets spent, only the interest that it generates. All gifts are income tax deductible. No gift is too small as they are all important in helping grow the endowed funds.
